I like to delve into human experiences when i craft movement, using what I have been through, as well as what my collaborators have been through so I can build the most honest and organic narrative. The way humans interact with each other and the way the body conveys language interests me and makes me wonder how I can relay this in my artistry and performance. I want to build a community that embodies empathy and compassion no matter the circumstance, no matter the struggle.
I am interested in integrating the medium of photography and dance theatre into my work to craft an experience for the audience. I want the audience to be alongside me in my work / performance - experiencing and investigating whatever my work calls upon them too.

But If We Fall ...

In this duet created by Rachel Calabrese & Emmy Wildermuth, we explore how to navigate the loss of a person while they are still within reach. Sometimes, the decision to walk away is not bred out of a lack of love, but rather because of it. This work describes the anger, pain, and confusion that accompany the realization that staying would ultimately breed more of these negative feelings. In walking away, what do we leave behind so that we might, indeed, take root and grow.
